Adámas 2

“It is a waste of time to be angry about my disability. One has to get on with life and I haven’t done badly. People won’t have time for you if you are always angry or complaining.” - Stephen Hawking

Here Hawking talk about his physical disabilities; but it doesn't need to be physical. It can be about loss of dear ones, accidents in the past, break-ups or even a lost opportunity. Lot of people like to share those painful moments with others so that they can gain some comfort. True, sharing reduces the pain. However, what happens to many is, they don't want to come out of the misery they are in. Problem comes when they refuse to move on; when they refuse to let the past go and accept the reality, the new normal. After a while, those same friends and family will look in the other direction if one is continuously playing emotional melodrama. Best thing to do is, take couple of days off, think about it, let the reality sunk in, learn the lessons and move on.
